History

From an early age my ambition was to open my own jewellery shop - influenced by my father, a retired watchmaker - I won an apprenticeship with H.L. Brown County Jewellers of Sheffield. It was here that I gained the love of working with precious metals & stones and consequently went on to the John Cass School of Art in London to learn about the design and making of bespoke jewellery pieces & diamond mounting.

1981 - I opened a small workshop offering repairs with good 'old fashioned' personal service - my customer base grew and led to the opening of my first shop in Ashby, Scunthorpe - offering a wide range of quality, individual jewellery with the same friendly service.

Business went from strength to strength and my second shop Coe & Co Fine Jewellery opened in 2007 where my son, Nathan, has joined to follow in our family footsteps.

Autumn/Winter 2008 sees us offering our goods and services online. The task of offering our complete range of products is daunting - but we are working hard to develop our web site and to open our 3rd 'virtual' shop with more products being added daily.
